A partir de esta semana están abiertas las inscripciones del Simposio ACIS 2015 ¿Hasta cuándo tendremos agua en COLOMBIA? Este simposio reunirá a distintos actores académicos, gubernamentales e internacionales en Colombia y Suiza para discutir los trabajos actuales de investigación y líneas de acción conjuntas en torno a la problemática de la contaminación y escasez de agua en Colombia. Es una oportunidad única donde se reunirá un selecto grupo de investigadores y profesores que vienen desde Colombia con la diáspora académica y científica en Suiza para buscar la generación de cambios locales.

Convocatoria – CIBioFi UNIVALLE para Doctorado y Postdoctorado
Este Macroproyecto, concebido para la implementación del Centro Regional de Investigación e Innovación en Bioinformática y Fotónica en Cali, es financiado por el Sistema General de Regalías y ha sido identificado como uno de los proyectos de mayor impacto económico, social, ambiental y productivo para el Valle del Cauca y la Región Pacífico en el sistema mencionado.

Open call – Bianual Plan Univalle and EPFL
Univalle and EPFL have a long standing agreement to maintain and foster academic collaboration between research leaders of both institutions.
The primary goal of this agreement is to support existing collaboration projects on the long term. As a secondary objective, it seeks the promotion of new projects, whenever these latter are embedded into a large and long standing effort to build a partnership between two or more partner group leaders. Within the framework of this agreement, the following calls for 2014-2015 are open:
- Short duration internship (3 months) at the EPFL; aimed at teachers or postgraduate students from Univalle.
- Short duration internship (3 months) at UNIVALLE; for students from the EPFL.
- Support to visits of senior researchers of the two institutions in order to create, coordinate and strengthen collaboration on research projects
- Opening: May 21st 2015
- Deadline: day 15th of every month.

The Research Office of EPFL, UNIL’s Research support Network and EURESEARCH Lausanne are organizing an information session, aimed at doctoral students and postdoctoral researchers wishing to enhance their scientific profile by working at a research institution abroad.

12:15 – 12:20 : Introduction
12:20 – 13:15 : Presentation on the career funding schemes of the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) with a focus on the mobility fellowships: Doc.Mobility, Early Postdoc.Mobility and Advanced Postdoc.Mobility
13:20 – 14:00 : Presentation on Marie Sklodowska Curie fellowships for postdoctoral researchers – Individual Driven Actions (MSCA – IF) of the European funding programme Horizon2020: European Fellowship (EF) et Global Fellowship (GF).
Presentations will be in English, with slides in French for the SNSF part. Each presentation will be followed by questions & answers in both languages.

En février 2014, la Plateforme « Migration et Développent » reliée aux fédérations vaudoises et genevoises de coopération en collaboration avec ACIS et l’ONG, Espace Afrique International ont organisé la table ronde: «Comment renforcer les capacités des migrants porteurs de projets en agriculture pour la sécurité alimentaire et le développement durable?». Markets in the Tropics – Transdisciplinary Summer School
This summer architects, engineers and environmental scientists from the ETH will be joining forces with the Universidad del Norte to develop sustainable scenarios for the central market in Barranquilla, Colombia.
The Summer School is being run in partnership with the Municipality of Barranquilla, Findeter, the Inter-American Development Bank and SECO. Registration until May 30th .
Academic Summit / Cumbre Academica CELAC-UE

In the framework of the 2d bi-regional Summit EU-CELAC (Community of the Latin American and Caribbean States – European Union/ VIII EU-LAC Summit) scheduled for the 10 – 11 June 2015 in Brussels, the Second Bi-regional Academic Summit will be held in Brussels on Monday 8 and Tuesday 9 June 2015 and will be welcomed by the European Parliament, the Real Egmont Institute for International Relations and the Vrije Universiteit Brussel. Registration on line at the latest for the 17th of May 2015.

ACIS en la Revista Suiza No. 86
El más reciente número de Revista Suiza, publicada por la Cámara de Comercio Colombia Suiza ha sido dedicado a la educación para la investigación y la ciencia.
Esta revista se ha consolidado como el medio informativo de la comunidad helvética en Colombia. Dada la relevancia de la educación para el desarrollo, la pertinencia social del conocimiento científico y la fuerte conexión que debe haber entre la ciencia y la educación, este número está dedicado a plasmar aspectos relevantes de estos dos temas.
